Pocket Quartet

Combining the freewheeling groove and grit of mid-century blues and jazz with original compositions and instrumentation, the Pocket Quartet consists of David Dvorin on electric guitar, Randy McKean on contra-alto clarinet, Tim Bulkley on drums, and Matt Langley on soprano and tenor saxophone. While only formed a few years ago, the players’ connections run deep, with the former three members having performed for years on multiple projects, including Cure-All artists Flounder and Stinson Trio. Top-notch soloist, Langley, was added to the lineup after moving to Northern California from his native New England, where he chalked up over 40 years of professional work playing with notable jazz artists, easily fitting into the group’s unique musical aesthetic.
